While New Jersey isn’t swimming in choices for Go-kart track in comparison to states like California or Texas, there are a fair few options to choose from. You can find a track for your purpose if you’re a pro racer or just looking for a fun weekend with family or friends. Here’s our list of the best tracks in NJ:

There is nothing better than a well-maintained Outdoor track for Go-karting! NJMP’s Tempest Raceway is just that. They are famous for their road courses but also have 2 karting tracks, which are operated simultaneously.
The rental karts are all gas-powered and can go as fast as 55 mph! Sessions can be booked online or you can book the sessions in the center. However, for group events, you’ll need to make a booking in advance.
Group Events/Party packages come with multiple activities along with Go-kart, such as Axe Throwing and Airsoft. Food & Drinks are also available in the center (they do not allow outside food).
The 2 tracks are both nearly 1/2 mile long with all types of turns like hairpin turns, Chicane, double apex, etc.
The karting tracks are surrounded by road courses for cars and supermoto.
For competitive racers or people looking to get into competitive racing, they have rental kart league racing which is pretty unique, most facility only offers league racing for kart owners. On average they host 6 league racings in a year that take place between April and November.
Kart owners can of course bring their own kart to the center for practice or to participate in events. Almost every championship in the NJ-NY region has a few races scheduled in the NJMP tracks. (More about championships later)

Technically this one isn’t in New Jersey, this is located in NY but it’s very close to the border and is one of the best in the region so was worth including in the list.
For rental, they have Gas-powered go-karts that can go 50 mph. For experienced karters, they offer faster karts. They are not open throughout the year due to weather. You can race here between April and November.
Kart owners can go for practice sessions and participate in NY championship races. Classes are the usual 2-stroke engines, 50cc for kids, 60 and 100cc for juniors, and 125 TaG and Shifters for Adults. LO206 classes are also available for Adults and Juniors.
Their sprint Track is 3/4 miles long and has 10 turns that include a hairpin turn, a double apex, and a few right-angle turns.
They also have a 1/5 mile long Oval Track!

RPM Raceway in Jersey City is an indoor karting facility. They are located in multiple locations in NY but only have one center in the NJ region which is located in Jersey City.
They have 3 Indoor tracks in the facility, two of which are 1/4 mile long tracks and the third track which is open on Mondays is the combination of tracks 1 and 2.
The Go-karts are Electric. The top speed of Adult karts is around 45 mph! Licensed drivers can try faster karts.
The pricing for group events starts at $40/person for kids and $60/person for Adults. You’ll be allowed to have a few races against your group. Check their website for more details about group events.
They too organize league racing once every week throughout the year. Requirements for participation is to be at least 58″ and have a driver’s license.

Speed Raceway has an Indoor track located in Cinnaminson. Their karts are electric and their facility has 2 tracks to race on.
Walk-ins and Online reservations, both are available. Weekends are usually busy for all Indoor-karting centers and the same will be the case here. Birthday parties and any other kind of group events will require a reservation.
League racing is also hosted quite regularly, it is a good way to start racing without spending $1000+, however, racing is still expensive even on rental karts.
5. Full Tilt Racing

Full Tilt kart racing is an outdoor track located in Englishtown that offers racing karts for rental! And not just 4-stroke LO206 karts, they actually have 2-stroke 100cc and 125 cc karts (including shifter karts) for rent. However, they are open on very few days throughout the year.
They have all the racing karts from 50cc kid kart to 125cc shifter karts. The pricing is expensive but that’s because racing karts are expensive.
State championships have a few races that take place on this track along with the other 2 outdoor tracks mentioned on the list.
They also host their own endurance racing, 4-hour Endurance racing costs $180/person to enter. The karts are provided by them. Check the satellite image of the track below.

The funplex in East Hanover and Mount Laurel is an amusement park with a Go-kart track. Their Go-karts are electric with an adjustable top speed.
They have other attractions such as bowling, bumper cars, Hologate, laser tag, and more. They also have a waterpark!
Birthday parties can be hosted, starting from $300 for 10 people’s passes. They also have multiple cafes in the facility so food won’t be an issue!
Overall, this place can be a fun visit with your family, especially for the younger members.

An amusement park in Ocean City. Their Go-karts are double seater. Apart from Go-karts they also have Mini Golf, Arcade games, and loads of Amusement Rides!
Can be a good place to visit with family, especially for younger members, they will enjoy the amusement rides. However, the karts aren’t the fastest you’ll find.
Note: All go-karting facilities require you to sign a waiver or get it signed by your guardian (if you’re below 18). Make sure to wear closed-toed shoes, and follow other instructions given by the instructors on the track.
