Karting is the closest experience of F1 racing that a common person can experience and Massachusetts has a lot of indoor karting facilities where you can race without having to worry about the weather, but you have very few outdoor racing tracks (which is not good news for competitive racers). If you’re looking for a place to go-karting, consider one of the following Massachusetts locations:

Best place for Go-Karting in Massachusetts? This is a tough question as there are so many great places for go-karting in Massachusetts. However, if we were near Boston or the cape cod region and had to choose one track to visit, Supercharged Entertainment would be our top pick.
The go-karts of Supercharged entertainment are electric and can reach 35-40 mph top speed. They divide the races into “Pro Speed” with faster karts for experienced karter and “Semi-Pro” with relatively slower karts for newbie drivers.
Track
The track used in Supercharged is the world’s largest multi-level karting track! The ground floor is 939ft long, the upper floors are 1506ft long, making it in total 2445 ft long!
You’ll find all sorts of turns, 90 degrees, hairpin, fast, slow and you also get to drive in the slopes going up and down between the floors.

2. Pioneer Valley Indoor Karting

Pioneer Valley Indoor Karting is another great place for go-karting near the Connecticut and Vermont borders. They have a wide variety of races and classes to choose from.
Both the Adult and Kids Go-karts are gas-powered in PVIK, the Adult karts have no speed governors and can reach 45-50 mph! Kid karts are speed limited to 25 mph.
The track has a nice mix of slow and fast turns along with a few straightway to reach max speed.

Apex Entertainment in Marlborough is another excellent option great place for go-karting in Massachusetts. The karts are electric-powered, and the track is multi-floor. Apart from Karting, they have multiple other attractions. This includes Bumper cars, bowling, Arcade, Laser Tag, and many other activities which gives them an edge over their competitors.
The track is a 9-turn, 1.5-mile track that was designed and created by Pgk. The track features a variety of turns and elevation changes, making it a challenging and exciting experience for drivers of all skill levels

Ok, this one is technically not “in Massachusetts” as the title of this article claims and rather in Rhode Island, but this one was definitely worth including!
The track is 1/3 mile long and go-karts can reach speeds up to 45 mph. If you’re looking for a day of family fun, karting, and living near Rhode Island then this is the perfect option. This place is also good for hosting a birthday party.
It is also a great place to host birthday parties. They have a variety of options for both children and adults, and their events are always well-attended. They’re also a great option if you’re looking to provide a fun and exciting corporate event for your employees.
PVIK league is also a great way to start competitive racing. Their league racing is held every Tuesday from 7 pm to 9 pm.
5. X1 Outdoors

You might recognize this place as F1 Boston, they had to change their name to X1 Outdoors. This track has been closed for nearly a year (likely due to Covid). It is still unclear whether the track is permanently closed or not.
For competitive racing, this is/was your only outdoor option in Massachusetts and they used to host multiple series throughout the year. Popularly, the NHKA racing series have a few races scheduled on this track.

6. K1 Speed

K1 speed is the biggest indoor go-kart racing chain in the US. They have a facility located near Boston. The karts in K1 are electric, the Adult Karts are advertised to have a top speed of 45 mph and junior karts can reach 20 mph.
Track
They have two tracks in the facility, both of them have similar turns and look fairly challenging.
Birthday parties or corporate events can be hosted in K1. They provide party rooms along with their track for rental for any event.
For competitive racers, K1 hosts leagues for both adult class and junior class. All members can keep track of their lap times and compare themselves with the best racers on K1’s website.
7. Cartwheels

Cartwheels in South Dennis is an amusement Park in Cape Cod which is the perfect go-karting spot to visit with your family if you’re nearby! The pricing is very reasonable and the karts are gas-powered and reasonably fast (not as fast as Indoor Track karts).
Go-karts are their main attraction but they are not limited to it, they also have a batting cage, a trampoline with basketball nets, and an Arcade. You can also host your kid’s birthday in this place.
